1. participation in the competition implies acceptance of all terms, rules and conditions.
2. personnel of Renault importer, southern sun and dstv and their direct family members and advertising / media agencies are not permitted to participate in the competition.
3. sms entries are subject to normal sms rates, outside of any sms bundles.
4. by participating in this competition, you consent to Renault importer and/or southern sun processing your personal information in accordance with these terms and conditions, and the protection of personal information act 4 of 2013 (popia). you further undertake to comply with your obligations in terms of popia.
5. prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash, and if lost, will not be re-issued.
6. all entrants must be over the age of 18 years and be in possession of a valid south african driver’s licence.
7. the getaway includes the following: the use of a Renault duster for travel over the designated period, plus free accommodation for two persons at a southern sun hotel of your choice, within driving distance from your place of residence, and within south african borders.
i. the Rnault duster will be supplied with a full tank of petrol, and the winner will be required to complete an indemnity form as supplied by Renault importer.
ii. any tollgate or e-toll costs and fines that may be incurred will be for the winner’s account.
iii. the accommodation will be on a bed and breakfast basis, with dinner covered on the 1st night’s stay.
v. various southern sun luxury brand hotels are excluded from the competition, as clearly indicated in the prize letter to be awarded by southern sun.
vi. neither Renault importer or southern sun can be held liable for any damage to personal belongings or to the property of the southern sun hotel.
the getaway that is won cannot be taken over long weekends or during peak season and is subject to availability.
8. the getaway must be used within six months of acceptance of the prize.
9. the winner of the competition will be notified by e-mail or telephonically.
10. if Renault importer/ southern sun is unable to contact a prize-winner by e-mail or phone within five working days after the final draw, another winner will be appointed,
11. the final decision is non-negotiable and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the decision.
12. all participants exempt Renault importer / southern sun, as well as dtstv and agencies involved in the competition from liability for any damage and/or costs resulting from claims they may have or incur through participation in the competition and/or the use of prizes.
13. Renault importer, southern sun and dstv are not liable for any technical error that may lead to an entry not being submitted successfully. renault importer, southern sun and dstv accepts no responsibility for entries that are undelivered, lost or delayed. proof that an entry was submitted does not serve as proof of receipt.
14. Renault importer, southern sun and dstv cannot be held liable for any injuries or the death of the winner of the getaway or his or her companions.
15. the winner of the getaway and his or her companions accept all hotel rules as well as the terms and conditions determined by the southern sun hotel for the period of the getaway, as outlined in the winner letter.
16. the competition will run from 20th may 2022 until 30th june 2022.
17. the winner will be announced by 12th july 2022.
